First Stage

· She will experience heat cycle that commonly lasted for three weeks
· Her cycle schedule is every 6-9 months

· Swollen Vulva
· Bloody discharge
· Male canines have unusual attraction to her but she will not show any interest
· Usually first phase of heat cycle lasted about 6 to 11 days

Second Stage

· The end of 6-11 days will start the second phase of heat cycle
· She is now ready for procreation
· Her posture changes, inviting sexual activity
· Discharge changes from light pink to golden sand colour
· Her swollen vulva is now softer
· This stage will last up to 5-9 days, for some canine it can last up to 20 days

After the two stages, your canine will no longer show interest in male. Now, it is time to wait and

look for signs of a pregnant dog...

Pregnant Dog: Early Signs

· Changes in appetite
· Hormonal changes resulting to mood swings and some temporary behavioural issues
· Inactivity- a pregnant dog usually don't want to go out and too exhausted to play or become active
· Nipple growth as preparation for production of milk
· Behaviour and mood changes, like a sick dog

Pregnant Dog Confirmed!

After first few weeks, pregnant dog will return to her usual cravings for dog food, only this time it doubles. Pregnant Dog naturally will gain weight, abdomen changes and become noticeably larger. Smaller dogs have tendency to look bigger when pregnant. Pregnancy usually last about 60 to 64 days.
